It looks like the KKK is planning on holding a rally on the Gettysburg battlefield the afternoon of October 5th, near the site where Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address. I'm planning on donning my blue suit and standing in protest against this hate group.
I cannot describe what an honor it was to camp on the battlefield. The little flags and tape were there so we could lay out our company streets, they were removed the following day. No, I did not see, or sense, any ghosts. There are so such things as ghosts.
I'll be featuring a few photos from our Gettysburg Adventure over next few days. We did the National Park Service event on July 1, 2, and 3. Most of the men arrived on Sunday, June 30, camped overnight through a rather nasty storm, and then performed demonstrations and living history activities throught the day on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. It was quite an honor to camp on the actual battlefield, in the shadow of the Pennsylvania Monument. Here, the boys wait for chow at the Trostle Farm.
