I'm shocked, saddened and angry. Already, people are blaming a religion, or blaming a lifestyle, and some brave folks are actually blaming the thing that is to be blamed...the gun. And those people are being vilified for pointing out that the gunman simply couldn't have killed all the people he killed if he didn't have easy access to high-capacity, rapid fire weapons.
I'm a gun owner. I have a pistol with a 13 round capacity for work, an antique bolt action rifle because I think its a fascinating piece of history, and a muzzle loading smoothbore for reenacting.
I don't think the issue is the gun. Its the ammo. Perhaps we should restrict that, after all, it wouldn't create an unconstitutional burden on the right to keep and bear arms.
