I live in a small Ohio river valley town, just outside of Pittsburgh, population about 2,500. My town has a single precinct, split into two wards, and all voting takes place in the social hall of the local Catholic church. I always hit the polls after work, around 4:30 pm. In 2012, I was the 158th voter in my ward. Today, I was number 480. Assuming the 2nd ward has about the same turnout at the same time, that means that nearly 1,000 people voted. That's got to be close to the maximum number of eligible voters, and Democrats outnumber Republicans here by about 2:1.
Now, I live in just one small town just outside of Pittsburgh, but if those voting numbers hold true across the Commonwealth, this election could be something rather interesting.
