I finally started the Hawker Hurricane I that's been sitting in my stack of models, and its just as complicated as I thought. It took me three weeks to build out the cockpit. The parts are so small and delicate, I'd add a piece, and wait at a minimum of 24 hours to make sure the glue was completely dry and cured before proceeding to the next part. Even then, I still managed to break a couple of parts, both of which I was able to repair. Fitting the pilot was especially difficult, its a very tight fit getting it into the seat once the cockpit frame was done. If I were to make this again, I'd attach the pilot to the seat first, and then build the cockpit frame around it. I was also disappointed that the decal sheet only contained markings for a North African campaign Hurricane, or for a Rhodesian training unit. Luckily, I was able to find online a decal set for Battle of Britain Hurricanes, including markings for the Free Polish 303 Squadron, which was totally badass.
